Disquiet about the Quiet Man Irish Pub

Residents in Kensington and nearby Flemington are voicing their disquiet about the loss of another much loved community gathering place, the Quiet Man Irish pub in Racecourse Road. You don’t have to be Irish or a frequenter at this well known Public House to know how valuable it is as a social hub for our local folk, their families and friends. Currently the plan is to demolish the pub and replace it with … guess? Yes, another apartment tower! Pub: gone. Social amenity: gone. Is there any thing we do as a community to stop this continual erosion of our social heritage and social amenity? Come along to the next Kensington Association meeting and share your experiences of the pub and your ideas of what constructive action can be taken to protect what is vital to our community.

  1. I was curious if you ever considered changing the layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?

  2. My brother suggested I might like this blog. He was totally right. This post actually made my day. You cann’t imagine simply how much time I had spent for this info! Thanks!
